Tonight’s the night. For this brew review I’m going to critique my own damn beer. This beer is a German Oktoberfest recipe kit that I bought online from HighGravityBrew.com for a total of about $38.00. This was the fourth batch of homebrew that I’ve made and this one was guaranteed to be special because it [...]

We’re still here and still consecutive in posting. No interruptions so far. HostGator has been flawless and WordPress was upgraded to v2.8.6 which we have running right now. Everything remains the same, and that’s damn good.
I am delighted in the fact that readership to these friendly confines continues to inch upward. On a daily basis [...]

Saturday Night Blue Collar Brew Review

Another Friday trek to the Morris Beer store and I was slowly pacing the beer shelf looking for something in particular.
Earlier this week, I put up a post about good, canned beer. While I was cruising the craft shelf, I was looking for a canned beer which I hadn’t had. Tetley’s was still there as [...]

Here’s some news about this website as soon as I think of it: Oh, yeah…
WordPress has been updated to version 2.8.5 and we are there. It’s so nice that I can get the announcement of upgrades in the admin dashboard, click the button and after a few seconds, it’s there.
I’m planning on installing a new [...]

A few changes under the hood. For one, I’m weaning myself off of the Yojimbo organizer and on to a similar app called Evernote. My main beef with Yojimbo was that I couldn’t sync my stuff from the house computer to the garage laptop. With Evernote, my stuff is stored in the cloud (on a [...]

Today was a special day. It was the day to start brewing homebrew batch #2, the second in a hopefully unending session of brewing beer at home. Over and over. Lots of times. All we need are the ingredients.
On Friday, my trip to the homebrew store in Aurora yielded the following ingredients based on a [...]

Today is the day, the glorious day. It is today that our first batch of homebrewed beer is ready to be ingested. 49 bottles of beer on the wall. Yes, 49 bottles of beer. Take one down, pass it around… enough. I’m taking this opportunity to review our own homemade beer. I hope you’re interested, [...]

I’d like to take this opportunity to let you all know that we have an addition to the annals of SixPackTech. In case you were unaware, we have, and have had (English. What a goofy language) the means to make our own beer at home. Our first batch, which was brewed on Jan. 31, will [...]
