Lowrider Roll Models

In the premiere episode of Lowrider Roll Models, we feature the inspirational story of Steve Alvarez-Mott–a longtime original member of the Groupe Car Club East L.A. Steve recalls the early days of the lowrider lifestyle and his first car, a 1966 Pontiac Tempest. Ultimately, the camaraderie and culture would have a transformative impact on Steve and help lead him to find his true calling in life. Steve is a genuine Roll Model in the Lowrider community.



In this episode of Lowrider Roll Models, we meet Miguel Alatorre–a veteran combat engineer having served 5 tours of duty in the U.S. Army and a member of Klique Car Club in San Diego. He shares how he came to be in possession of his 1959 Chevrolet Impala and his love for cruising the streets of San Diego en route to Chicano Park. Miguel also describes his harrowing experience on the battlefield, how lowrider culture helped him find himself and rekindle time lost with loved ones. These days, he’s channeling his efforts to serve his fellow servicemen by defining new ways for how they can engage with their local community via the local VFW. Miguel is a shining example of what it means to be a true Lowrider Roll Model.



In this episode of Lowrider Roll Models we take a look at Michael Grey of USO Car Club and his 1960 Chevrolet Impala, a shining example of what one can accomplish when they follow their dreams.
