Frankly speaking

I love this time of year. The weather is starting to warm up, tulips are popping, there are no bugs and the yard looks like shit. It’ll look a lot better when it turns green again.

All my kids have grown up, moved out and have homes of their own. After attending last week’s housewarming party at one kid’s house, we’re visiting his twin brother at his newly acquired domicile tomorrow. Out in farm country. “Beans, corn, beans, beans, corn… Oh there’s his house.” Peace, beauty an coyotes. And plants. Lotsa plants like beans and corn. Last week’s house was right next to the railroad tracks. This week’s house is one where you need a GPS and a pair of binoculars. As long as they are happy where they are. Now that they’re both established, I’ll have to coerce them into removing all their personal crap that they left behind at our house.

We have a wedding in the family coming up in April. #1 son will be getting married up north somewhere requiring us to stay at a hotel overnight. It’ll be on a Friday. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing kilts. I will be out of my element in a tuxedo. At a hotel with my wife of 40 years. It should be a memorable time. Thankfully, #1 son insisted on craft beer to be served at the occasion. That may just make it worth it.

I’ve updated the old Next Gen Gallery plugin finally. Looking into things, I find that the old Weekly Babes galleries are intact and functioning perfectly. I’m starting to like the way I did things back in the day. I may have to put this matter up for a vote for the readership. I’m going to sit on this for a while and look further into the features of the new/old plugin. Maybe it’s hiding something dazzling.

Thanks a lot for stopping by.
