Frankly speaking

I’m gonna try and keep this short. It seems that the monks have had a way of messing with my demeanor.

I’m still getting around the new foibles of WordPress. The update fixed a lot of problems but some of our plugins have been rendered useless. It’s up to the developers of those plugins to make them work with the new WP. Here at SPT, we’re cruising along with only a few bumps along the way. While composing the Slinks for tomorrow, I noticed that with the margin set at center in Visual mode, some of the HTML has trouble closing statements, or whetever they’re called. I see what happens in Preview mode and can work around it, but it is a little more work, a little more attention to detail. The media feature doesn’t work exactly right just yet. The justification of inserted images doesn’t follow what’s been set.

For the most part, the site has been presenting itself and following the rules just fine. I just have to keep the whip handy and snap the things that don’t quite work right back into line. But I’m on. Like a wet suit.

Next weekend, I’ll be attending a beer sensory seminar, sponsored by the MASH homebrew club. This is the second one that I’ll be going to. At the session, Marty Nachel will give attendees a base beer for reference, and then samples of the same beer contaminated with common germs and bacteria that today’s brewers face. Diacetyl, acetaldehyde, oxidation, etc. I will take profuse notes. I’ll bring my camera and share the experience here if all goes well.

The bed calls me, I must go. I give praise and honor to the monks of St. Sixtus and St. Bernard for putting me in this pleasant state of mind.

Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Thank you for another enlightening edition of Six Pack Tech.

My take away for today was “Sofa King Hopping”. Good people brewing good beer and enjoying what they do. If only we all could be so lucky.

    Thanks, man.

Sometimes I tend to ramble during the Franklies and I often wonder how well that goes over. But I’ve had a few people say that it’s one of the highlights of the site.

Sometimes it gets hard to type and make sense when your eyes are crossing. Those times cause my spell checker to get hot while doing it’s thing.
