Wait. Check the doors… I think we’re ok. SPT is surviving, nay, thriving during the throes of the holiday season. Readership is hovering around 600 per day and page views make all of me happy.

I have a nice daily routine set down for posting and the weekends are the most fun, reviewing some beers, putting up the Babes and preposting the Slinks. I’ve been working on getting the HTML together for re-pasting our SixPack Faves back up in the menu bar. Tomorrow just may be the day when it happens. I’ve adjusted things a little bit to allow me easier use of the feature for updating new favorite stuff to the Faves.

(Update: The Faves are now available for your your clickage. The menu selection is between the Brew Reviews and the Babes and also between the two graphics at the top.) Just look up there and click.

WordPress and HostGator are holding rock solid without so much as a hiccup. There was an incident not too long ago when the site was unavailable to me but after a quick email to the hosting service, I found out that I was trying to access the site during their scheduled reboot of the servers. That went from panic to serenity in one email message thanks to HG.

I’m really hot to trot on making a new homebrew beer. This time, I’d like to do a recipe I found in the Clone Brews book by the Szamatulski couple. It’s a clone of the Barbar Belgian Honey Ale with an estimated ABV of between 8.3 and 12% which I’ve never had. I’ll wait until my credit card gets back on its feet once this holiday season is over to buy the ingredients. For all you homebrew geeks, I urge you to watch the beer fermentation time-lapse video that’s coming up in the Slinks tomorrow.

My motorcycle is now poised in the garage after spending much of the warm riding season in the shop getting fixed. I checked earlier today: temp = 37.4 degrees. A little StaBil is scheduled for tomorrow.

I ordered more SixPackTech stickers. For every sticker request, I usually send out two or three. Right now I have 10 left. The new stickers will be slightly different, but the same text, font and wording. The beer mug will be repositioned. It’ll still be the same, only different.

With this busy holiday season upon us, I’m not going to ask you to send in pictures of your vehicles for our Readers’ Rides, nor will I plead with you to email me with a request for a free SPT sticker. I will happily let you go about your business buying gifts for everyone else but yourself.
