Here’s some good news that I’d like to share. There are a couple of new micro breweries that went into business in Chicago, only 65 miles away from urban Morris. The Half Acre Beer Co. recently went into production and I’m figuring it won’t be long before some of their golden potation hits the shelves around here.
In the video shown below, a lot is revealed about how hard it is to get started in the business and also facts about the competition from the big corporate boys as well as the brutal Illinois taxation laws. One may think, “Why bother?” That’s why this video is being shown here. The owner, Gabriel Magliaro, has the stones to go up against seemingly impossible odds and strive to provide the populace with some great tasting beer. We’ll be asking for his beer at each beer store visit.
