“Drinking a half a dozen beers a day cuts the risk of heart disease by more than half in men, it has been shown.” That’s the opening statement of an article from The Independent out of the UK. This may just be an effort at hit mongering or a treatise based on science and fact.
The article mentions nothing about individual body mass or beer’s alcohol by volume. The effects of a sixer of Amstel Light at 3.3% ABV versus say, Sam Adams Double Bock at 9.5% would have us with different brain status come morning.
Either way you look at it, drinking beer in moderation is good for the heart. And it makes you a jolly good fellow.
Visiting SPT each day and drinking a daily sixpack is really six of one, half a dozen of another. (Pfft!)
