NASA’s next mission is to save the Hubble space telescope. The shuttle Atlantis will roll out to the pad in preparation for a May 12th launch to save the eye in the sky. Astronauts plan to perform five back-to-back spacewalks to add a new camera, replace gyroscopes and batteries, add a docking ring, as well as perform tricky repairs on equipment that was never designed to be fixed in space. Let’s hope they’re successful. We all know of the quality and mysterious beauty of the photos that the Hubble has taken.
