Convertible car roof

Some of you may remember the ’57 & ’58 Fords had a hardtop convertible roof, where the roof retracted into the trunk. There’s a new twist on this old idea by Peugot, which would appear to some as an engineering nightmare. The roof is contracted into a million discrete sections, folded up and stuffed in the trunk. Could conceivably be a pain the patootie for mechanics as well if something gets stuck or malfunctions.

Optional golf bag side car sold separately. Check out the soundless video.
