Toyota IQ

This is the first I’ve heard of this car. The Toyota IQ is apparently Japan’s answer to the Smart car produced by Mercedes (Daimler AG.) It seems that more car manufacturers are going this tiny route just as the computer manufacturers are scrambling to build NetBooks, those super-small PCs that don’t do a helluva lot.

What is the future of of this trend toward the teensy? The market will dictate the outcome.

Note in the above video that the women exit the passenger side are the drivers of the vehicles. In Japan, they drive on the other side of the road.

They exit the right-hand door, which is correct for Japan where they drive on the left-hand side of the road – the driver’s side is the right-hand side.

CRAP! I knew that when I posted that last sentence but I thought, hey, what the hell?

The change has been noted in the post. Thanks for the spankin’.
