InBev buys Anheuser Busch

InBev, Europe’s largest beer brewer, will purchase Anheuser Busch for a hair under 50 billion dollars. The ancestors of the Busch family are probably rotating in their graves. So what will happen? Probably nothing. The profits will now go to a different bank account.

I find it ironic that these two companies are bedfellows now. As I’ve stated before, Budweiser is lousy beer. I’ve also reviewed Stella Artois, InBev’s most popular beer. It’s equally as lousy. So this must be a match made in heaven. But then again, millions of NASCAR fans and millions of soccer fans can’t be wrong, right? Pfft!
